Hello, dear one, Like many of you (or maybe you are not one of them), I was a misfit from the time I could remember. My upbringing was quite strict for certain things, and I had free rein for others, which seemed odd to me even as a child. It appears from the tales I have been told by none other than my biological mother I was an accident. Having dealt with complex PTSD since 2017, I began to see the light at the end of the tunnel in late 2021. This was when I started exploring PTG, post-traumatic growth, first for myself, secondly for Russill, then for some of my clients, and which moved me toward birthing the brand new program in our Yogic Mystery school aptly called The Golden Path 2.0, which goes beyond PTG (post-traumatic growth). Once again, there is so much unrest in the world that we need to find a way to engage in meaningful self-care that can ripple positivity out into the world. I believe, heck, no, I know that this is one of the best ways to ripple positivity into the world and not feel helpless in situations where you and I may have no say or control in world affairs. But one cannot put out good energy when not feeling good inside. This is where self-care and self-healing are at the crux of the matter. While simultaneously being fully engaged in your family life, your community (be it big or small), and our precious world. The other option is to feel dark and depressed about the current global conflicts and give up. I beg you not to do this; instead, I invite you to engage in life and its affairs with Faith, Strength, Compassion, and Power! As I have written in the past, though our mighty brain is extraordinary, and our frontal lobes are the crowning glory of the human species, we are hard-wired to focus on the negative more than the positive: this is known as negativity bias.
This is where Spirit, via your Mind, can step in to heal and empower us. But the soul needs to be nourished, and this is what we will be doing: exploring, learning, and transforming the negativity within ourselves in the coming weeks in preparation for the holiday season. So that we can cause a ripple effect not just for our loved ones or those with whom we feel a sense of solidarity but for humanity as a whole. Yesterday, Russill and I were furiously working to have an early evening, unwind and relax with our favorite Indian snacks. Around 11:30 a.m., both of us needed a hot beverage to go on, and we both looked up at the sky and saw an eerie darkening of the sky as though it was dusk. Then we realized it was the annual solar eclipse and were grateful to have timed our break exactly when this phenomenon was happening here in beautiful Austin. We were both awestruck, to say the least. My friends, we live on an exquisite planet where life the way we know it has occurred in teaming multiplicity, a solar system that seems magical, and an unfathomable yet extraordinary Universe. Now is not the time to shrink back from challenges or go about our lives in fear and hopelessness. Call me a dreamer if you will, but I trust you will agree peace and freedom for all people in our fragile world is their fundamental right. Coming back to self-healing or for healing of any kind requires us to think outside the box from time to time. Constructing and reconstructing ourselves is at the heart of the spiritual growth. As much as ancient texts and rituals play an essential part, Applied Spirituality requires us to commit to feeling peaceful, to be attuned and aligned with Higher Intelligence. This is where your Mind and your brain can play a potent role. Unfortunately, this doesn't happen by itself. You and I need to create it! If I a so-called accident, a misfit, a minority both in my birth country and country of residence, belonging to a gender who faces inequality of many kinds, including not being taken seriously (at times by my own gender) can do it, so can you! I invite you to explore this healing adventure with us. Click link below to learn more and enroll: Golden Path 2.0 💟 Asha Comments are closed.
